About Me

I am a dedicated counselling psychologist with over 25 years experience, holding Masters Degrees in both Counselling Psychology and Special Education. In my practice I work with adults, children, adolescents and families dealing with a range of presentations, which include, but are not limited to: anxiety, body image, communication, depression, eating disorders, grief and loss, parenting issues, personal growth, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, stress, and trauma. With a client-centred, strengths-based, and solution-focused approach, I tailor each session to meet your unique needs and goals. I employ a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). My therapeutic approach is characterised by empathy and collaboration, rooted in a genuine commitment to helping my clients discover their inner strengths. My practice is a place where you will feel heard, understood and validated without judgement. In our sessions, I will help you delve into repressed memories of underlying traumas, while also providing effective coping strategies and homework to unlock deeper insights into your patterns and reactions, fostering lasting change. I understand that life can be complex. My diverse background and training has equipped me with the flexibility and skills needed to guide you through a broad range of concerns, and empower you to make the changes you want in your life. I strongly believe that the therapist-client relationship should be a collaborative one to ensure best clinical practice and achieve optimal outcomes. I want to meet people where they are at in life to help them achieve their goals, feel good about themselves and their relationships. Being a psychologist is a privilege, and I would be honoured to start this journey with you as we work towards discovering your best self.
