About Me
Renae uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to increase psychological flexibility in the present and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) to address past traumatic memories. Her intention is to create a warm and safe environment where all internal experiences such as emotions, thoughts and memories can be explored with compassion and understanding. At times, therapy can involve vulnerability and emotional intensity, while at other times it can be playful and enlightening. Her approach is practical and empathic. She has over 20 years of experience working with: Anxiety and panic attacks PTSD Complex trauma Stress and life adjustments Workplace issues Depression Substance abuse Grief and loss Relationship difficulties Life coaching Renae enjoys life in Brisbane with her husband, two teenage sons and Louis her dog. Louis often joins her in the therapy room. Adults of all ages, genders, cultures, and sexual orientations are welcome to make an appointment. She particularly enjoys working with young adults as they navigate change along their journey of life.
