About Amanda Bakker Psychology Amanda is a qualified psychologist and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She is an open-minded and empathetic psychologist who enjoys working with a diverse range of clients. Amanda works with adults and adolescents privately, as well as via Medicare and the National Disability Scheme (NDIS). She is highly respectful of client confidentiality, which is enhanced by working as a sole practitioner. A published author in the Journal of Personality and Individual Differences on sex drive, sociosexuality, and gender fluidity, Amanda works with individual clients regarding a variety of relationship and sexual issues. Amanda works with the LGBTQIA+ community including gender counselling and dysphoria. Amanda also works with clients with neurodevelopmental disorders, including high-functioning autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), with a strong focus on communication and social skills training. With a broad scope of practice, Amanda enjoys working across a range of issues and is also now available for consultation and comprehensive psychological assessments.
