About Me
Lauren is an engaging and caring psychologist who has experience working with adults experiencing anxiety, social anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, borderline personality disorder, LGBTQIA+ related concerns, sex and intimacy concerns, body image and eating concerns, self-esteem and assertiveness, and gastrointestinal concerns. Lauren aims to work collaboratively and provide a safe space for the expression of ones authentic self. Lauren strives for a strong and honest therapeutic relationship, and believes this creates an opportunity for people to explore what is causing their difficulties whilst also facilitating the space for growth and change. Lauren believes that a positive therapeutic relationship, where clients feel understood and seen, is the cornerstone of successful therapy. Lauren integrates evidence-based treatment models, including CBT, DBT, Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), Mindfulness, and ACT. Lauren predominantly works from a Psychodynamic framework, and is currently undergoing training in ISTDP. Lauren obtained her Clinical Psychology training at the University of Melbourne and has worked in both private clinics and in public contexts, including at Thorne Harbour Health and the Royal Children's Hospital. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys swimming, spending time in nature, and reading about personal growth. Lauren is a Clinical Psychologist based out of Malvern, Victoria. She provides sessions to individuals in person and by telehealth.
