About me

Matthew is a registered clinical psychologist with a master’s in clinical psychology. As a mental health professional, he has worked in a variety of settings, which include The Royal Children’s Hospital, child protection, suicide prevention research, mental health crisis support hotlines, and private practice. He takes a compassionate, non-judgmental, and holistic approach to support clients to thrive and achieve their goals. His experience extends to facilitating peer group educational programs for the LGBTIQ+ population, and he is very passionate about supporting trans and gender diverse individuals and their families. Matthew works across the lifespan, particularly with individuals experiencing difficulties relating to ASD, ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety, LGBTIQ+ health, gender dysphoria, grief and loss, trauma, family and relationship difficulties, disabilities, and life adjustment. Matthew is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and he continues to enhance his clinical knowledge and skills by engaging in professional development and participating in research. Currently, Matthew is pursuing a PhD in clinical psychology.
