About me

Laura Dunne is a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Laura works with a wide range of presenting concerns and has a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals and people with disability.

Laura is committed to providing evidence-based and compassionate therapy that is responsive to each person’s unique strengths, needs, and values. She works collaboratively with clients and families to build social, emotional, and coping skills that enhance wellbeing and quality of life. Laura draws on a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and emotion-focused and strengths-based frameworks.

In addition to therapy, Laura is trained in autism assessment and is an accredited facilitator of the Westmead Feelings Program, supporting emotional understanding and regulation in autistic children and teens. Laura’s clinical experience spans both public and private sectors, including work within multidisciplinary disability and mental health community health settings, as well as a school psychologist.She also lectures in psychology at university and provides clinical supervision to psychologists in training and early career practitioners.
