About me
Helping you make sense of identity, belonging and cultural complexity so you can feel lighter, more connected, and more at peace within yourself.
I am a Clinical Social Worker offering therapy sessions in Carlton, Melbourne and online across Australia.
Many of the people I work with are navigating questions around identity, belonging, relationships, family dynamics and life transitions. For some, culture, language, family and community are central to what brings them to therapy. For others, these experiences are woven through challenges such as anxiety, stress, grief, family conflict, relationship difficulties, loneliness, or feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands.
As someone who is multicultural myself, Turkish and American, and who has lived in different parts of the world, I understand what it feels like to fit in and not fit in at the same time. To feel connected to different cultures, communities and identities while also navigating the complexities that can come with them.
My approach is warm, collaborative and grounded in the belief that you are the expert in your own life. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Motivational Interviewing, Harmonic Brain Healing, Mindfulness and Breathwork, while always tailoring therapy to your individual needs. I also work from a trauma-informed and intersectional framework, recognising that every person’s experiences, identities and circumstances are unique.
I obtained my Master of Social Work with a clinical specialty in the United States and have had the privilege of working with a wide range of people, including migrants, refugees, asylum seekers, veterans, adolescents and adults across different continents.
I believe every human being has the capacity to heal. Sometimes accessing that resilience can be difficult to do on our own. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, make sense of what is happening in your life, and move towards feeling lighter, more connected, and more at peace within yourself.
I understand that taking the first step can feel daunting. I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation to discuss what has brought you to therapy, answer any questions you may have, and explore whether I am the right fit for you.
I look forward to meeting you and learning more about your story.
