About me
Are you a woman in your thirties to seventies? Each life stage brings unique pressures and life transitions. You may be ready to prioritise your needs and seek support for anxiety, depression, low self-worth, overwhelm, trauma, PTSD, PMDD, fertility or post-partum concerns, perimenopause or menopause, relationships, parenting, divorce, grief, health, or work-related challenges. You may need a safe, calm space where your story can unfold at your own pace, with time, presence, choice, and collaboration. You do not have to live in survival mode. I am an empathetic psychologist with sixty years of life experience and ten years experience in women’s mental health and wellbeing. My experience includes advanced clinical training in trauma recovery, complemented by empathy shaped through lived experience. My therapy approach is warm, grounded, relational, and attuned to your needs.
To support your journey I integrate evidence-based therapy including Schema Therapy to understand the impact of your past on your present; Compassion Focused Therapy to relieve inner shame and self-criticism and to regulate your threat system; DBT for building effective skills; and EMDR and imagery to process stuck, triggering traumatic memories.
I welcome enquires from women hoping to make positive life changes. My hope is to help you develop a calmer, core sense of self and to gain the skills to sustain the changes you make. As a sole practitioner I choose to plan my day to offer unrushed time and presence. The first step of therapy is to reach out. I will be there to ensure you feel valued and supported.
